About the Workshops
In his 40 year career Dave LaBelle has worked for 20 newspaper and magazines. He has been a photographer, editor, teacher and mentor. During his years teaching photojournalism at Western Kentucky and the University of Kentucky he became one of the best known figures in photojournalism. During that decade he taught seven Pulitzer Prize winning photographers.
LaBelle has authored three photography books “The Great Picture Hunt,” “Lessons in Death and Life,” and most recently “I don’t want to know all the technical stuff…I just want to shoot pictures: The TLC approach to taking great photographs at any age.”
Dave’s most recent project is to bring the lessons of photojournalism to everyone who wants to make great pictures. He will be circling the globe teaching the “TLC” of photography.
